Everything you need to read your wilssens.com email on your phone and computer, and to keep it safe. Pick the app you use; each part stands on its own.
Do this first, before you add your mailbox to any phone, tablet or computer. If you set up an app with the temporary password and change it afterwards, every app stops working until you type the new password there too.
Sign in with [email protected] and the temporary password you received.
Zoho asks you to choose a new password. Pick a long one you don't use anywhere else (three or four unrelated words, like "lamp-orchard-tuesday-river"), type it twice and save.
Keep it somewhere safe at home for now. This is the password you'll type in every app.
Already chose your own password earlier? Then skip this and go straight to the app you use.

Read your email in a web browser
The quickest way, on any computer, with nothing to install.
Your address used to live with Microsoft 365. Your phone and computer still have that old account, and an app can't hold the same address twice ("This account has already been added"). So remove the old one first, then add the new one below. Your emails are not lost: they were copied to your new mailbox, and you can still see them at mail.zoho.com.
iPhone or iPad Mail: open Settings, tap Apps, then Mail (on older iPhones: Settings, then Mail). Tap Mail Accounts, tap the old [email protected] account (it may be called Exchange or Outlook), then Delete Account and Delete from My iPhone.
Outlook on iPhone: tap your picture at the top left, then the gear (Settings). Tap the old [email protected] account, scroll down and tap Delete Account, then Delete.
Windows 11 itself (do this first on a computer): open Settings, click Accounts, then Access work or school. Click the old [email protected] (it says Work or school account), then Disconnect, and Yes to confirm. Restart the computer. (It can't be removed under Email & accounts, and Outlook keeps adding it back until it is disconnected here.)
Word, Excel or classic Outlook: click File, then Account, and under User Information click Sign out if it still shows [email protected].
Outlook on Windows (new Outlook): click the gear at the top right, then Accounts, then Email accounts. Next to the old [email protected], click Manage, then Remove.
Classic Outlook on Windows: click File, then Account Settings, then Account Settings… again. Select the old [email protected], click Remove, then Yes.
Do this on the day we tell you your mailbox has moved, not before: until then your mail still arrives in the old account.
Get started
Easiest on a phone: the Zoho Mail app
One sign-in, no settings to type, and you get a notification for new mail. Works on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Open the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android) and install Zoho Mail - Email and Calendar.
Open it and tap Sign In.
Type [email protected], tap Next, type your password and tap Sign In.
Allow notifications when it asks, so you see new mail arrive.
If Outlook suggests Microsoft 365 or Exchange, tap Not Exchange? or Change account provider, and choose IMAP.
Turn on Use Advanced Settings (or Show advanced settings).
Under IMAP Incoming Mail Server: Hostname imappro.zoho.com, Username [email protected], your password.
Under SMTP Outgoing Mail Server: Hostname smtppro.zoho.com, Username [email protected], your password. Tap Sign In (or the check mark at the top right).
If Outlook suggests Microsoft 365 or Exchange, choose IMAP instead (sometimes under Choose a different account type).
Type your password, then turn on Show more.
Turn offUse recommended settings. Outlook's "recommended" servers are imap.wilssens.com and smtp.wilssens.com, which don't exist; switching this off lets you type the right ones.
Incoming: imappro.zoho.com, port 993, SSL/TLS. Outgoing: smtppro.zoho.com, port 465, SSL/TLS. User name is [email protected] for both.
Click Continue. Your mailbox appears on the left.
If Outlook fills in imap.wilssens.com or smtp.wilssens.com by itself, replace them with imappro.zoho.com and smtppro.zoho.com: those wilssens.com names don't exist.
Type [email protected], click Advanced options, tick Let me set up my account manually, and click Connect.
Choose IMAP.
Incoming mail: Server imappro.zoho.com, Port 993, Encryption SSL/TLS. Outgoing mail: Server smtppro.zoho.com, Port 465, Encryption SSL/TLS. Click Next.
Type your password and click Connect, then Done.
If Outlook fills in imap.wilssens.com or smtp.wilssens.com by itself, replace them with imappro.zoho.com and smtppro.zoho.com: those wilssens.com names don't exist.
Click Security on the left, then Password, then Change Password.
Type your current password, then the new one twice, and click Change Password.
Your phone and computer will ask for the new password the next time they check mail. Type it there too. (iPhone Mail: Settings, Apps, Mail, Mail Accounts, your account, then the password field.)
A good password is long: three or four unrelated words, like "lamp-orchard-tuesday-river". Use it only for this mailbox.
Forgot it? On the sign-in page click Forgot Password. That only works if you set up a recovery phone or email (see below), so do that now.
Keep it safe
Turn on two-step sign-in (strongly recommended)
With two-step sign-in, someone who learns your password still can't get into your mailbox: signing in on a new device also needs your phone.
Install the free Zoho OneAuth app on your phone (App Store or Play Store).
On your computer, go to accounts.zoho.com, sign in, and click Multi-Factor Authentication on the left.
Click Set up next to OneAuth and follow the steps: you scan a code on the screen with the OneAuth app. (Text messages also work, but the app is safer.)
Save the backup verification codes Zoho shows you: print them or write them down, and keep them at home. They get you in if you lose your phone.
From now on, signing in on a new device asks you to approve it in OneAuth with one tap.
Keep it safe
After two-step sign-in: app passwords for Mail and Outlook
Apps like iPhone Mail and Outlook can't do the two-step check, so they need their own password. (The Zoho Mail app doesn't: it does the check itself.)
Go to accounts.zoho.com, click Security, then App Passwords, then Generate New Password.
Give it a name you'll recognise, like "iPhone Mail" or "Outlook laptop", and click Generate.
Zoho shows a password of letters. Type it into the app instead of your normal password (when adding the account, or where the app says the password is wrong).
Make one per app. If a phone is lost, delete its app password on that same page: that app is locked out, everything else keeps working.
Under Mobile Numbers, add your mobile number and confirm it with the code you receive.
Under Email Addresses, add another address you use (not [email protected]) and confirm it.
Zoho uses these only to help you reset your password or confirm it's you.

Staying safe
We will never ask for your password, by email, text or phone. Neither will Zoho. Anyone who asks is trying to break in.
Be careful with emails that rush you ("your mailbox will be closed today", "confirm your account") and link to a sign-in page. When in doubt, don't click: go to mail.zoho.com yourself.
Real Zoho sign-in pages are on zoho.com. Check the address bar before typing your password.
"This account has already been added" or similar: the old account is still on that device. Remove it first (see the first part of this page).
The old account keeps coming back on Windows: Windows itself still holds it. Open Settings, Accounts, Access work or school, click the old [email protected], then Disconnect, and restart.
"Wrong password" in Mail or Outlook while it works at mail.zoho.com: you have two-step sign-in on, so use an app password.
You can receive but not send: check the outgoing server is smtppro.zoho.com, port 465 with SSL/TLS, and that it signs in with [email protected] and your password.
No new mail on the phone: pull down on the list of emails to refresh. In iPhone Mail, check Settings, Apps, Mail, Mail Accounts, Fetch New Data.
Still stuck? Email [email protected] and say which phone or computer and which app you use.
